It is easy to treat recovery as something to fit in once everything else is finished. The problem is that everything else is rarely finished.
A more useful approach is to give rest a place in the week before the diary fills up. That might mean an evening without plans, a slower weekend morning, a walk without a destination or a treatment booked simply because you value the time.
Recovery can be active or quiet
There is no single correct version. Notice what leaves you feeling more spacious rather than more depleted, and make room for it before you are running on empty.
